About

Marianne McGrath is an independent art curator. After successful years working within museums, curating exhibits and presenting art and education programs, Marianne founded MKM Art Consulting, which offers curatorial projects to art institutions, galleries and artists. Through her work, Marianne contributes to and advances the contemporary art world, utilizing her range of experience, education and knowledge of fine art. Marianne’s passion for art and art education motivates her work as a curator in introducing people to art and bringing art to the community.

Marianne is known and respected for collaborating professionally with artists, collectors, galleries and museums in the Bay Area art community and beyond. Her broad expertise includes leadership over a full range of curatorial duties including research, exhibition development and production, interpretation, documentation, art acquisition and collections. Marianne holds a BA degree in Art, an MA degree in Art History and her professional affiliations include ArtTable, College Art Association and the Women’s Caucus for Art.
